What does the warranty cover and for how long?

Every unit carries a home battery warranty of more than 5 years with full-cycle service. Terms can differ by market and application. So the practical step is to request the wording for your destination country rather than assuming a single global document.

What full-cycle service means in a home battery warranty

Battery warranty terms usually fall into one of two shapes. The simpler version covers the product for a fixed time regardless of how much you use it. The fuller version ties cover to both a time period and the energy the battery has cycled. That matches how the hardware actually wears.

Full-cycle service means the cover follows the cycles the system performs. A household that cycles its battery heavily is therefore not disadvantaged relative to one that barely uses it. That is the fairer arrangement for anyone buying storage to shift solar or tariff energy every day.

What to check in a home battery warranty before you order

Four things are worth confirming in writing before you rely on any warranty terms. First, the covered period, and whether it ties to cycles. Second, what counts as a valid installation. Most terms require commissioning by a qualified installer and a documented handover. That record feeds into the battery warranty. Third, whether cover transfers if you sell the house. Fourth, how the supplier handles a claim logistically, and who pays freight.

It also pays to keep the commissioning record. Warranty terms and claims almost always start with the installation date and the initial configuration. A dated handover document therefore saves time later.

Warranty sits on top of design life

Battery warranty length and cycle-life rating are different things. Our published cycle life is 6,000 cycles or more for the 5 kWh model. The 10 kWh and 16 kWh models carry 8,000 cycles or more at 25°C, measured under laboratory conditions. The battery warranty period is the commercial promise; the cycle rating describes how the cells behave as you cycle them.
